The theme of this year’s conference is “Building Sponsorship Equity” and appropriately it is being held in partnership with the Canadian Paralympic Committee during the 2010 Paralympics. Representatives from some of Canada’s top brands including Rogers, Coca Cola, Panasonic and Kraft will come together with some of Canada’s premiere properties including Vancouver 2010 Olympic Committee, Vancouver Whitecaps and Whistler Blackcomb, to discuss topics on Canada’s changing sponsorship-scape.
Of particular interest, Saturday morning will feature a discussion of “Translating Equity into Sales” with a panel of Canadian Paralympic Committee sponsors including Veronica Piacek of Pfizer Canada and Scott McCloy of Worksafe BC. A unique feature of the Canadian Sponsorship Forum is that every Forum is centered on a major event and features a panel discussion of sponsors involved. I last attended the Forum during the Toronto International Film Festival in 2007 and the sponsor panel was facinating, connecting sponsorship activations with the people who brought them to life.
The forum organizers, TrojanOne, have put together an attractive agenda with some truly unique networking opportunities including a gathering at the sold out Paralympic Closing Ceremonies taking place at the Whistler Medals Plaza on Sunday, March 21st.
