Bluebird Strategy provides sponsorship expertise and strategy for events big and small by providing a consulting service that connects your event with corporate, hospitality, media and government partners to ensure a successful execution.  Bluebird Strategy has worked with many new events including Eco Fashion Week, to establish strategic marketing partners, sponsors and in kind suppliers. Bluebird Strategy also specializes in brand activations working with clients on product launches as well as providing staffing for special events and liquor tastings.

Bluebird Strategy offers a wide range of additional services including event planning & execution, athlete sponsorship representation, contest management, promotional staffing and social media strategy.

Heather Odendaal
President

Heather has worked in marketing and events in both Vancouver and Whistler for over ten years. She has specialized in sponsorship sales, service and strategy for a number of large scale events and properties including Crankworx Freeride Mountain Bike Festival and the Whistler Film Festival.  She has also worked on the client side of sponsorship for Molson Coors Canada in Vancouver executing events for brands such as Molson Canadian, Coors Light and Heineken. In January 2010, Heather launched Bluebird Strategy with a goal to help British Columbia establish a strong base of events post-Olympics. Heather has lead strategic sponsorship programs with up-start events including Eco Fashion Week, EPIC Sustainable Living Festival, Corporate Champions Vancouver, the Whistler Longboard Festival and the Community Foundation of Whistler. Heather lives with her husband Michael in Whistler, British Columbia with frequent visits to "the city" Vancouver.

Chad Weir
Business Development Manager

_Chad has been in the digital, events & logistics industries since 1995, having held positions with The Walt Disney Company, The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, Real Equity Group, Mount Hotham, Lake Louise, Ski Banff, MasterWealth Training, Peak Potentials, Warrior Sage, The Disney Cruise Line, Canada Ski Cross, Alpine Canada, World Skills Calgary, CauseForce and InField Marketing.

Having spent more than fifteen years in various other front facing industries, Chad has also become a customer service specialist. In addition, Chad has run his own successful web, media and consulting business for almost ten years and has since established himself as an authority in social media, synergistic marketing, brand management and multimedia integration. Having the good fortune of living in Whistler, he continues to enjoy skiing, biking, triathlon and other outdoor pursuits. Chad joins Bluebird Strategy bringing his expertise in brand management, marketing & social media, brand activation, product development and event execution as business development manager.

With a sales & marketing background from BCIT, Christina Petry has 8 yrs experience with top ranking premium beverage companies. Responsible for managing top restaurant groups, liquor stores and hotel chains in the lower mainland/sea to sky corridor. Living in this area for over 10 yrs has allowed her to become a top sales performer, with consistent results, and exceptional customer/relationship skills.  Christina has a clear understanding of the industry demands in the eyes of the customer. Christina's role at Bluebird Strategy is account manager - sponsorship sales.
